Antique Persian Serapi 11'1"×14'10"
This ‘Serapi’ rug was woven in the northwestern part of Persia. The red madder field has a very large, geometric central medallion in ivory, beige, navy and red. The four spandrels are very well proportioned in relation to the central medallion. The border has a navy field with a kharchang (crab) design.
