C. 1880 The stepped charcoal sub-field shows two vases, closely set palmettes and an inner edging of small slanted flowers. The teal field presents red and charcoal corner rosettes. Generally in the 17th-18th century “Transylvanian” style. Attractive blue border with fringed red faceted meander and tulips, carnations and other flowers in the reserves. Wool construction, long and nearly shaggy pile. Medium rustic weave. Good condition.
