New Persian Qum 8'3"×11'0"
C. 1970 Lazy ragged palmettes go in and out, while floral composites define a central vertical axis, and vines swerve and spiral. Innumerable varieties of small, attached sickle leaves. All on the sandy cream field. Straw border with symmetrized ragged palmettes, pointed palmettes and oblique corner rosette/palmettes. Moderately finely woven on cotton. Definitely urban as Qums generally are. Qum is the religious capital of Shi’ite Persia. Good condition.
