New Pakistani Serapi 8'1"×11'6"
In the style of antique Heriz carpets of the later 19th century, this unusually long piece shows an line-by-line abrashed lime green field decorated by stiff curled leaves and supporting s stepped, twice pinched fire-engine red sub-field with a stepped medium -dark blue lozengoid medallion enclosing flowers and a serrated ecru sub-medallion. Ivory-ecru border of rosettes and weedy stems in the Karaja-Bakshayesh manner. Cotton foundation, medium and solid weave. As new condition with very attractive dye palette and design.
