New Pakistani Qum-design 8'3"×14'5"
A lozenge green looped acanthus lattice presents a tonally asymmetric pattern in ecru, red, rust-red, ochre and light blue, with a wide variety of four-way floral centres. Four of the reserves are ecru and symmetrical set, but the lines are generally colour reversed or changed throughout. Broken bavy main border with palmettes and escutcheons violating the minor borders. Fine urban weave, cotton foundation. As new condition. Persian Qums often display lattice field tessellations and this carpet faithfully follows that design trend.
