This visually complex and innovative scatter shows a four way pattern of red, ragged, bent “arms” developing from full and half ecru cartouches on the abrashed medium blue field. 17-18th century Caucasian “Dragon carpet” sources have been artistically reworked for a successful composition. Red border with ecru barbed tilted recurved leaves and green palmettes. Medium weave. As new condition.
