C. 1885 The warm tomato madder red field displays three raggedly reticulated, beveled lozenge medallions in turquoise green, sapphire blue and blue-green, with eight straw secondary octagons and dark brown side “rocket ships”. Dark brown border with closely set colourful octagons in straw, red, medium blue, teal and cream. Red/black “running dog” outermost border. Knotted warp net end finish. Wool warp and pattern wefts. Good condition, medium weave.
