C. 1880 The tomato red madder field shows the “racing car” pattern in offset rows, detailed in old ivory, navy, dark brown, medium blue and straw. Dark brown border with bitonal triangle end pattern and zig-zag with “stoppers” along the sides. All wool construction, well-wove, slit-tapestry technique. Good condition.
