Antique Turkish Kilim 3'0"×5'0"
C. 1890 Probably from an Afshar tribal offshoot. The dark brown field lozenge lattice displays red, mustard ecru double elibelinde-style palmettes. The old ivory border shows colourful split rectangles in royal blue, madder red, cardinal red and mustard. Wide red plain-woven end strips with tassels partially intact. All wool construction. A good table or furniture cover. Good condition. Slit tapestry (kilim) weave.
