Semi-Antique Persian Sarouk Farahan 4'4"×6'8"
C. 1900 Between Farahans and Sarouks chronologically, this is a fine example of the well-woven, rustic scatters created between 1880 and 1915. A central navy, cream and straw medallion is edged in large, paired botehs, on the coral field with a delicate stem and leaf pattern. Navy corners with red cores defined by barbed leaves. Navy border with rosettes, palmettes and curved “fish” leaves. Cotton foundation. Unusual medallion. Good condition.
