Semi-Antique Persian Kashan 8'9"×11'8"
What appears to be a traditional Sarouk in design is actually a very finely knotted Kashan from the city of the same name. The back gives it away with its very fine weave. The colors show the rug was unpainted, a practice used at the time on most carpets from the area to deepen the reds. This was the natural color the weaver intended the carpet to be.
