C. 1925 From the “Classic Period” in modern Kerman weaving, this finely woven, cotton foundation urban carpet shows a subtly abrashed mulberry cochineal ground with a “Vase Carpet”-derived allover pattern of unidirectional palmettes on a broad, two-level arabesquerie, all detailed in royal blue, teal, medium blue, ecru, light green and salmon.
