Antique Persian Karadja 3'10"×11'11"
This antique runner was woven in Karadja, a small town near Tabriz in modern day Iran, likely in the late 19th century. The rug follows a common style for rugs from this village, using multiple medallions running the length of the rug. The soft earthlike tones and unique geometric designs make for an interesting yet unassuming piece. The pile is full and wool quality excellent.
