Antique Persian Seraband 8'8"×18'11"
This large gallery-size carpet was woven in the Fereghan area of early-to-mid 19th century Persia. Early Seraband rugs such as this are often dated back to before the 1830s. The characteristic all-over design of repeating “botehs” is flanked by several intricate borders in ivory and red.
