Antique Caucasian Karabagh 3'6"×15'5"
This antique runner was woven in the Karabagh region between modern-day Armenia and Azerbaijan. Textiles from the Karabagh region reflect an eccentric mix of design influces brought by Turkish, Persian, Armenian and various tribal settlers. This particular piece features a strong Persian influence on its floral field which features classic Persian figures (palmettes, botehs).
