Antique Persian Birjand 8'6"×12'0"
A late 19th or early 20th century carpet from Birjand, the east Persian provincial capital of Khorassan in Iran. Known for their rug making and use of insect dyes such as cochineal. Excellent condition with an amazing array of floral patterns.
