New Indian Contemporary Design 4'0"×6'2"
The greyish, borderless field displays a directional pattern of six columns of two types of palmette modules accented with curled leaves, short tendrils, boteh petals and small petal palmettes. The pattern is derived distantly from antique velvets. The individual elements are not equally spaced, allowing the layout to subtly breathe. The columnar asymmetry is subtle and there is no central line of motives. Cotton foundation, medium weave, as new condition.
