Antique Persian Lavar Kerman 17'10"×21'2"
This grand carpet must be seen to be believed. At least 15 years of workmanship went into making this masterpiece. Originally owned by Marshall Field in the late 1800's, it was purchased by Sarkis Nahigian in 1909 and later purchased by Minasian. The signature denotes it was produced in the Costili workshop in Lavar, Kerman district, southeast Persia. No carpet compares to it!
