New Persian Kashan 8'5"×12'2"
C. 1930 The pointed, elliptical navy subfield features a central stepped coral medallion with palmette chain pendants, and enclosing a sand stepped and lobed oval sub-medallion. Palmettes, curved sickle leaves and vinery are all drawn in the traditional Kashan style. Coral field sneaks up the sides and develops into palmette and leaf corners with ecru and pale blue sub-corners. Pale blue and goldenrod accents. Nvy border with reversing palmettes, and supporting vines and leaves. Fine weave, cotton foundation. Good condition.
