Antique Persian Bijar 4'5"×5'5"
C. 1895 Actually woven in nearby Garrus, this all-wool, very compactly woven scatter shows a madder red field with an angularly geometric version of the Mina Khani allover pattern, detailed in light blue, navy, straw and teal The rosettes have taken on rectangular and hexagonal forms. Navy border with reversing, conjoint botehs. Attractive sky blue accents. Good condition, but could use a good stretching to even it out. Probably a Kurdish villager piece rather than a town rug.
