Antique Bessarabian Tapestry Kilim 5'2"×8'5"
C. 1890 Bessarabian weavers love roses, and here we find them in the field with two large, identical rose, bud and stem motives and two similar, but smaller, on a straw ground, framed by a wide sandy-straw border with more red and pink rose and green leaf modules. Shared warps, no slits, wool pattern wefts. Moderate weave. Good condition.
