This moderately woven piece is a study in straw, tan and dark brown details, in a banded layout with rows of panels enclosing stylized flowers, double hook motives, tone-on-tone stiff meanders and various other dot array, line and Vee-form elements. Straw border of four-way hooked squares. Original design owing nothing to the usual rug traditions. Cotton foundation. As new condition.
