Antique Turkoman Runner 2'5"×4'3"
C. 1900 Originally made in pairs, each with a plain weave back, this all wool example shows a madder-derived liver red field, and tonally en suite lower panel (elem), with four columns of four characteristic quartered tribal guls, with “erre” minors between. Navy details. Main old ivory border of spidery, floating “Union Jacks”. Angular “running dog” minors. Narrow upper elem with arrow-like closure tie points. Well-woven. Good condition.
