Antique Turkmen Ersari 2'3"×5'5"
C. 1895 This thick pile, all wool tribal tent bag face displays three columns of three traditional guls quartered in ecru and red, with lattice patterned chemche minor guls between, on a saturated brownish red madder ground. Red main border with floating hooked squares and flanking navy minors with flip-flop meander vines. Totally en suite lower panel (elem) with colour diagonals of trefoil flowers. Saryk-style major guls. Medium rustic weave. Good condition.
