Antique Turkestan Saryk 4'9"×6'3"
C. 1900 Probably not Saryk, but Tekke, with the characteristic Tekbent inner border and the four toothed guard strips in the kilim barmak (“bride’s fingers”) pattern. Tekke dotted circle innermost minor border. Dark blue border with stars. Navy-black field with offset rows of small stemless flowers. Wool foundation, medium fine weave. Light wear producing a ribbed, corduroy effect. Fairly good condition.
