Antique Caucasian Verneh Square Flatweave 5'8"×6'4"
C. 1890 Formerly attributed to the Caucasus, but more likely from Eastern Anatolia, this two part cover shows an allover pattern of squares enclosing geometric flowers, one half pointing up, the other down.. Pattern is supplementary wefts with a red plainweave ground. Border of small squares. White cotton details (?, check this please). Straw, light blue and red accents. All wool construction. Medium weave. Good condition.
