Antique Caucasian Shahsavan Kilim 2'9"×4'7"
C. 1890 This all wool, slit tapestry technique fragment of a loner piece shows a characteristic design of a wide ivory band (originally of several) with a running hexagon pattern in red, light blue, ivory and with secondary and tertiary stripes with rhomboid and stepped diamond patterns. Originally about 4.7 by 9 or ten. Medium-fine weave. Natural dyes. Good condition.
