Antique Caucasian Kazak 6'3"×8'3"
C. 1905 This thick pile, all wool, rustic large scatter shows a simple, but powerful, characteristic pattern of three large stepped crosses in abrashed royal blue and green, with stepped diamonds within, on a saturated madder red field. Straw details. Green hooked diamonds and small squares spaciously float in the field. Blue and green reversing fan palmette minors around the red major strip-style frame with the slanted leaf and calyx pattern. Medium-coarse weave. Good condition, but needs ends secured.
