Antique Caucasian Kazak 3'10"×7'8"
This antique Caucasian carpet was woven in the Kazak Khanate around 1880. The Kazak Khanate was a cultural melting pot, situated in the Caucasus at a crossroads between Turkish, Russian and Persian spheres of influence. This is reflected in rugs of this period, which often showed unique combinations of traditional Persian, Turkish and Caucasian designs.
