Semi-Antique Persian Abadeh 5'2"×6'11"
The Abadeh rug genre is a post-WWII development, borrowing certain elements from Qashghai weaving. This cotton foundation, medium weave rustic scatter shows a solid red field with intact and scattered flowers and lesser geometric devices, with a small navy stepped octagon with a central ecru knot rosette and four matching corner rosettes on navy blue. Ecru border of two types of reversing palmettes and a split arabesque tendril. Good condition
