Semi-Antique Persian Abadeh 3'4"×5'1"

Classic Abadeh small scatter with a side notched, end stepped ecru sub-field with apical vases developing tall flowers, and a scatter of birds, X’s, quincunxes and little crosses. Ivory knots in red corners. Ecru border with rosettes and Vee-shaped palmettes. Abadehs tend to follow established patterns and the variations are subtle and demand close observation. Cotton foundation, medium weave. Good condition.
