Antique Shirvan 3'5"×5'0"
C. 1890 Although lacking the characteristic Akstafa square and paired hook module cream border, this is a unexceptionable piece with a near-black field divided by a hexagonal leaf lattice which displays hooked lozenges, octagons, hexagons, and triangle, animal and other lesser fillers. Floating, faceted ecru niche arch above a pentagonal prayer stone spot and a cleanliness comb. Ecru min border with a strip-style calyx and slanted leaf pattern. Wool foundation. Medium rustic weave. Discolouration along the lower main border, fairly good condition otherwise.
