Antique Shirvan 3'1"×4'5"
C. 1900 The rich red ground displays the characteristic Perpedil allover pattern of ram’s horns and palmette peacocks, within an ivory Kufesque strip border design on near black. Sectioned, striped minors and a reciprocal keyhole outer stripe. Uniformly light wool warp indicates a Kuba origin. Medium-fie village weave. Hairline reduction at one end. This small scatter is in quite good condition.
