C. 1870 The characteristic blood-red madder field shows five columns each of 12 quartered Tekke emblematic tribal guls in ecru and burnt apricot, with connecting lines and chemche minor guls. Red main border of octagons and a variety of interesting separator strips. Red elems (extra end panels) with a “pine tree” pattern. Excellent nomadic spring-clip wool, wool foundation, fine weave. Good condition. An authentic tribal carpet executed with all natural dyes and attention to detail.
