Antique Persian Kazvin 10'0"×20'0"
C. 1930 Kazvins were invented by OCM (Oriental Carpet Manufacturers) in the early Interwar period in Hamadan city, on cotton foundations with a Bidjar-like compactness. The wine-red field shows a floral sprays pattern supporting a relatively small cusped cream lozenge medallion embellished with short floral sprays. The sprays somewhat resemble those of ”American style” Sarouks. Navy border with petal palmettes, rosettes and lancet barbed leaves. Cream minors showing rosettes and tilted palmettes. Well-woven with a Bidjar-like character, cotton foundation. Good condition. Exceptional size, very rich-looking.
