Antique French Tapestry 3'4"×5'9"

Nineteenth Century A crested bird makes its way across the ground, framed by tall trees in full summer leaf, with vegetated hills and castle (?) to the rear. The soft palette conjures up a warm and hazy summer’s day. Light greenish blue, sand, straw, beige and tans, with a few red accents, are the predominant tones. Medium-fine, slit tapestry weave with wool pattern wefts. Good condition.
